On May 24th, People, Cities and Nature and the Waikato Biodiversity Forum hosted one of their urban restoration workshops. Sarah presented her Masters research on urban forest restoration in four North Island cities. Eighty-eight people attended from local councils, DOC, consultancies, community groups, university students and Manaaki Whenua Landcare Research.

It was a day full of great discussions about plants, pests and more, complete with a fieldtrip to Waiwhakareke Natural Heritage Park where Kiri and Andrew led tours about restoration research and the importance of restoring soil food webs.
